Privacy Policy
Draft — an interim version pending the full POPIA-aligned policy (access, export, retention, and deletion processes tracked in issue #13). Do not treat this page as final until that review lands.
What we collect
Free course downloads: name and email. Account holders (the Operating System journey): email, first name, sign-in method, your starting-point and support-level selections, lesson/mission reflections and uploads you submit, and progress/XP data. Mentorship and Executive Mentorship applications: the fields you submit in that application.
How we use it
To run the product (deliver downloads, track journey progress, resume where you left off, evaluate mentorship applications), to send transactional email (confirmations, receipts), and — only where you opt in — to contact you about related courses or mentorship. We do not sell personal information.
Who can see it
Your reflections, mission submissions, and uploads are private to you by default. If you apply for Mentorship or Executive Mentorship, relevant submissions become visible to Edson and any authorized mentor reviewing your application.
Analytics
We use privacy-conscious product analytics to understand how the journey product is used (which steps people complete, where they drop off). Names, emails, reflection text, mission evidence, and file names are never sent to analytics — only that an event happened and non-identifying properties.
How long we keep it
We keep account and journey data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward in case you return. Mentorship and Executive Mentorship applications are kept as part of Edson's review record. You can request deletion at any time — see below — which removes your account, journey progress, reflections, and uploads, except where we're required to keep transaction or communication records for legal or accounting reasons.
Your rights
If you have an account, you can request an export or deletion of your data directly from your Account page — deletion requests have a 7-day cooling-off period before they're processed, and you'll get an email confirmation either way. You can also request access, export, or deletion by emailing hello@aspiyre.co.za. We will confirm what we hold and act on your request in a reasonable time.
